Janine is a senior from Columbus, Ohio majoring in Materials Engineering with a minor in Japanese.
Apart from her involvement in Mortar Board, she served as the Secretary and then President of the Purdue chapter of the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) and is now a Senior Advisor. She has also been an undergraduate researcher for the past 3 years, and is currently working in Professor Davis's lab on mechanical testing of epoxies. She has also been an Honors Engineering Peer Mentor for ENGR 161/162, and she is currently volunteering as a Materials Engineering Student Ambassador.
Her future plans are to attend graduate school to pursue a PhD in Materials Engineering, with the hope of working in the research and development of new materials.
